Aviation English Training for English Teachers

A comprehensive course for English language teachers who want to teach Aviation English.

This course is aimed at English teachers who want to specialise in teaching Aviation English.

Objectives of the course:

  • to have a thorough understanding of the domain of Aviation English
  • be able to plan lessons centered around the needs of pilots and air traffic controllers

The course will culminate in you creating a lesson plan on which you will be given feedback.

When does the course start and finish?
The course starts in December 2019. If you miss a webinar, don't worry, they are recorded and uploaded to the student lesson space for later viewing/review.
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
Are there any pre-requisites?
Ideally, you will be an in-service English teacher or at least hold a basic TEFL (Teaching English as Foreign Language) with some experience of teaching. If you're not a native speaker of English I would also like you to have IELTS level 7 or equivalent.
What if I'm not a native English speaker?
This course is open to everyone, if you are a fully proficient speaker of English and can follow the lectures then you will have no problem. In fact, there is an argument that NNS make better teachers in a lingua-francs environment!
